Radamel Falcao in line for his first Chelsea start against Walsall

Radamel Falcao is set to start his first game for new club Chelsea tonight against a Walsall team who could be bought by the striker's £140,000 weekly wage.

The Colombian striker has scored only once in six substitute appearances on loan at Chelsea, a header in the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in August, but has yet to start for JoseMourinho.

The 29-year-old has commanded transfer fees in excess of £100million during his career after moves between FC Porto, Atletico Madrid, Monaco and Manchester United.
With Diego Costa suspended for the next three games, Falcao will finally earn his chance in the Blues starting line up as he competes with Loic Remy.
His full debut tonight will come against League One side Walsall, whose entire squad cost less than Falcao's weekly wage of £140,000 - half of the £285,000 he earned at Old Trafford.
Mourinho's first-team squad cost £304.6m to assemble whilst the Saddlers squad cost barely a quarter of a million.
Their record transfer fee came in 1979, the £175,000 spent on Alan Buckley from Birmingham and they have spent less in their entire history than Chelsea did in the summer.
